Dear friends of Worlds Apart,

I'm happy to announce that we've added a new title to the Worlds Apart lineup of great online games. A heretofore hidden gem on the Internet, Star Chamber is an exciting fusion of trading card game and board game, set in an intriguing science-fiction setting where politics are just as important as warships. We've not only acquired the exclusive license to continue development of Star Chamber, but we've brought Star Chamber's creator on board with the Worlds Apart team, and together we plan on bringing Star Chamber to a much bigger audience. This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of this critically acclaimed game! Independent Games Festival Voting at Gamespot

Star Chamber has been named a finalist in the Web/Downloadable category of the 2005 Independent Games Festival. This is the seventh year for the festival, which exists to encourage and recognize innovation in game development. This year, for the first time, the Audience Award voting is being opened up to Internet voters, via a special page set up by GameSpot, one of the festival's sponsors.

Worlds Apart at the Independent Games Festival

Members of the Worlds Apart crew will be attending the 2005 Games Developers Conference in San Francisco, which hosts the Independent Games Festival each year. We'll be there spreading the word about Star Chamber and showcasing the game at the IGF Pavilion from March 9-11. Any Worlds Apart fans attending the GDC Expo are welcome to stop by and say hello. We'll be showing new players at the conference how to play the game, so be sure to hop online and help welcome them!

Star Chamber / Worlds Apart Kickoff Party

Friday, March 25th will be the Star Chamber / Worlds Apart Kickoff Party! At 6pm EST there will be a special Common Ground tournament open to new players and old veterans alike — a ticket and a deck made only of common cards are all you need to play. Then, at 9pm there will be a Phantom Friday tournament featuring a double-sized phantom card pool! Both tournaments will feature T-shirts for the 1st place finishers and trivia contests between rounds! Turn your knowledge of random Star Chamber factoids (and maybe other obscure topics of CCG and Sci-fi) into cards, tickets and other prizes — including origins and incursions promo packs that are no longer available for sale! So make time on Friday, March 25th to help us celebrate a new era of Star Chamber and win great prizes in the process!
